Installation of BitDefender Internet Security 2008 couldn't be easier. Click the download link and the product virtually installs itself if you follow the simple prompts provided.
Once BitDefender Internet Security was up and running we accessed the interface and again were pleased with the simplicity of the product. The company obviously designed the interface for ease of use and it was mission accomplished. Green check marks tell you if your system is protected and definitions are up to date and scans and updates are just a mouse click away.
The only thing we would have liked to see done differently is easier access for the advanced options. It appears that the advanced settings are somewhat hidden within the program.
The scan speed seemed to be about average. What was above average, however, was the fact that the program seemed to use very few system resources while scanning.
BitDefender offers customer support via phone and email. Our phone call was answered within 8 minutes which was a little long, but when we tried their chat we found a rep right away who was very courteous and answered our questions thoroughly. We also sent an email inquiry, which was responded to within 2 business days. For a one-year license, it's only $39.95 too! They receive 6.0 Star Rating!

We went in with trepidation but came out quite impressed – our experience with Norton 360 Version 2.0 has changed our whole perspective on the brand.
I'll be honest, the team thought we'd be playing with another system hog while testing out this Norton product and more than one of us thought we'd run into at least one or two software compatibility issues. It's a good thing we didn't put our money where our mouths were, because Norton's 360 Version 2.0 impressed us all.
First, Norton seems to have turned from it's evil resource sucking ways. We noticed no system lag at all when running Norton processes. Add that to the fact that Norton will wait for your system to go idle to initiate tasks on its own and the whole "inconvenience" thing goes right out the window.
And Norton 360 Version 2.0 doesn't just leave your system performance alone, it actually works to improve it with a registry cleaner and system optimization tools. Quite the turnaround, if you ask me.
Overall, we'd have to say that Norton 360 Version 2.0 is a great pick. Comprehensive protection without the headaches or hassle. What more could you ask for (except, maybe, a better price)? We think that Norton 360 deserves an excellent rating with 5.5 Stars!

The download and installation or Trend Micro was seamless and took less than 15 minutes. Once the program was installed, the interface proved to be very user-friendly and implementing the Trend Secure features such as Remote File Lock and Transaction Guard also took little to no effort. Trend Micro internet security software proved to be a wonderful tool for our wireless network. The Home Network Control allowed us to customize the configuration for each of the three computers we installed it on. This too proved to be very intuitive and took little time. We were also surprised to find that someone had been trying to access our wireless network without authorization, which Trend Micro caught and put a stop to.
The fact that this program doesn't just provide Internet security tools, but is also able to act as a parental control saves a lot of system resources. Instead of running an Internet security tool and a separate parental control product on your system, parents can now free up space by letting Trend Micro serve both functions.
Trend Micro offers customer support via email, chat and phone. When we called the support phone number, our call was answered within 5 minutes. The chat support function was also very quick and our session was immediate and helpful. This is a wonderful and easy to use 5.5 Star Rated Product and worth the $49.99 price!

We had to check out the brand new, Internet Security Software 7.0 just launched by Kaspersky. What can you truly expect from this brand new program, though? Well, for starters, there are parental control features included. If you have kids, this is a huge comfort. There is also real-time behavior analysis and automatic hourly updates, so you won't have to worry about staying up to date. - Virus, spyware and malware detection and removal
- Undo malicious changes to your PC
Star Reviews likes that the Kaspersky Internet Security Software 7.0 provides all the features you'd expect from an internet security company, but added bonuses like real-time behavior analysis and personal firewall protection. Ok, so pricing is a little high here, running you $79.95 for a one year, one user license agreement. This is definitely higher than their competitors' pricing. Customer support by way of email and telephone is efficient and courteous, though, so no worries there. They deserve 5.0 Stars!

Norton Internet Security 2008 was just released and we had to see what they were all about! Symantec offers pretty reasonable download times, but make sure your current Internet Security software is uninstalled, or you may run into problems. Once the download has completed, however, the process is rather quick and simple. Step-by-step prompts guide you through the install and set-up process and Norton should be up and running before you know it. - Identity Safe-Store personal information and credit card info securely to safely make purchases online.
- Network security monitoring tools & one-click access to technical support
Star Reviews applauds Norton for once again, coming up with a good, solid Internet security software program. You receive comprehensive anti-virus, phishing, and spyware protection, as well as network security monitoring tools and 2-way firewall protection. One downside to the product was its lack of customizable options and settings (it seemed to be an all or nothing setup). But, with the AutoFix feature, if you run into any errors, Norton should be able to diagnose and fix them. We liked that Norton now tells you how much time you will spend waiting for each technical support option right from your PC screen. Live chat is recommended, as the support reps can use a remote access tool and fix your problems during the chat session. How convenient! Pricing is $69.99 for a 1-year, 3 user license, which is higher than some of the competition, but not outrageous. They receive 5.0 Stars!
