The anti-virus software component is an easy to use product but after that, the rest of their software can be somewhat confusing for a computer user with less knowledge. At $39.95 Trend Micro's easy to use anti-virus software and features are well worth the money; however for the complete bundle if you are willing to work through the startup issues and get a grasp of the system then we feel confident in saying you will be pleased with this product. If this was just an anti-virus software product alone it would receive a much higher rating, but due to the unnecessary time it took to deal with the rest of the software, we feel there are better products out there.

WiFi Intrusion Detection helps to safeguard your wireless network by warning you when a wardriver or another unauthorized user intrudes your wireless network. Enables you to easily configure, update, and manage PC-cillin for every PC on your network—all through a single PC, making Parental Control (URL filtering) and home/office security management easier than ever.

The site and purchase process are standard and the installation process is not the simplest but again, no real issues. Trend provides a toll free technical support number and you know how we feel about that!!!

Upside:

Easy to use, especially their antivirus software. Great customer support! Home network and WiFi intrusion detection. New spyware component in package.

Downside:

Spyware was not completely removed from the pc, but it is very difficult to remove all adware and spyware nowadays.

Trend Trial

Trend came on my lap top as a trial.... So I used it for the trial thinking it was running. It looked like it was finding stuff. I ran a scan with another program. I had 2 Virus and about 10 spyware on the PC. I was not happy.

Trend Micro has always been a good product and still is. I like using it and protects my PC.
